This policy explains what information Elevate Weed Delivery (“Elevate”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use elevate-dispensary.com or order from us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, call us at (818) 835-9525 and ask.
This policy covers visitors to our website, customers who place orders online or by phone, and anyone who signs up for our loyalty program or marketing messages. Our website is intended for adults 21 and over and for medical patients 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we delete it.
Information you give us directly. When you create an account or place an order we ask for your name, date of birth, delivery address, phone number and email address. Because California law requires us to confirm that every customer is of legal age, our driver will look at your government ID at the door and we record that the check was done. For medical patients we also record the details of your physician recommendation. If you pay by debit card, the card is processed by our payment provider and we do not store the full card number.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours logs your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and how long you stay. We use cookies and similar tools so that your cart remembers what you put in it and so that we can see which pages people actually use. You can turn cookies off in your browser, though the checkout may not work properly without them.
Information from your phone. If you order on a mobile device and allow location access, we use it only to check whether your address is inside our delivery zone. We do not track your location in the background.
We use your information to process and deliver your orders, verify your age and eligibility, run the loyalty program, answer your questions, and keep records that the California Department of Cannabis Control requires licensed retailers to keep. We also use it to improve the site, for example by noticing that a product page loads slowly or that customers keep abandoning the cart at the same step.
If you have opted in, we send you text messages and emails about new products, restocks and deals. You can stop these at any time (see “Your choices” below). Opting out of marketing does not stop order confirmations and delivery updates, which you need in order to receive what you bought.
By entering your mobile number and ticking the consent box at checkout or on the signup form, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and order-related text messages from Elevate at that number. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and HELP for help. Your carrier is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not rent our customer list to anyone. We share information only with the people and companies that help us run the business: the software that powers our online menu and checkout, our payment processor, the text and email platform we use to send messages, and the state track-and-trace system that all licensed cannabis businesses in California must report sales to. Each of these providers is only allowed to use your information to do the job we hired them for.
We will also disclose information when the law requires it, for example in response to a subpoena, a request from the Department of Cannabis Control, or a law enforcement request that we are legally obliged to answer. If Elevate is ever sold or merged with another company, customer records would transfer as part of that sale and the new owner would be bound by this policy.
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to ask what personal information we have collected about you, to ask us to delete it, to ask us to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front, but you are welcome to ask us to confirm that.
To make a request, call (818) 835-9525 or email us. We will need to verify that you are the person the information belongs to, usually by matching the details on your account. We respond within 45 days. Please note that some records, in particular age verification and sales records, must be kept for the period California cannabis regulations require, and we cannot delete those early even if you ask.
You can update your account details yourself by logging in. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any email, and from texts by replying STOP. You can delete your account by contacting us, subject to the record-keeping rules above. You can block cookies in your browser at any time.
Our website uses HTTPS, account passwords are stored in hashed form, and access to customer records inside the business is limited to the staff who need it to fill your order. Drivers see the delivery address and order contents for the run they are on and nothing more. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never happen, but if one affects your information we will tell you as California law requires.
Our site links out to our social media accounts and occasionally to brand or lab websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we have no control over how they handle your information.
If we change this policy in a way that matters to you, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell registered customers by email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
